Entry Requirements :
Entry permits for Simlipal have to be collected from the
Field Director, Simlipal Tiger Project, Baripada, before
you’re allowed to step into the national park. One has
to apply well in advance to visit the park. The
application has to be accompanied by a copy of your
passport,so please send us your passport
details (photocopy)at the time of booking the tour. |

Best time
to visit :
The park is open from November to June. The park remains
closed for visitors in rainy season.The best
time to visit the park is early winter - when the
park gets opened , after being closed during
the rainy season and also in the summer as there is
good possibility of wildlife sighteeing .
Accommodation and other facilities
The accommodation facilities in Simlipal are
woefully inadequate. Within the park are bungalows- at
Barehapani, Newana, Joranda, Joshipur and Gudgudia-
which are maintained by the forest department. We
suggest you to book this tour well
in advance .
Similipal wildlife tours
Day1- Arrive bhubaneswar,drive to baripada and lunch at
baripada.taking necessary permit drive to lulung.
Day2- Visit inside the park for photography and study of
wildlife., evening on the watch tower .over night at
joranda rest house.
Day3.Early morn drive in the forest for watching
wildlife.Even wild life watching from the watch tower.
Day4- Drive to Chahala forest rest house enroute
visiting of barehipani water fall.Even watching of wild
life around.
Day5-Drive to joshipur , visit of a few santal villages
and crocodile breeding center.o/n -joshipur .
Day6- Drive to bhubaneswar enroute ,visiting tusser
farmer co-operative society for study of different
process of weaving at fakirpur.
Day7 - Transfer to airport and tour ends.
Accommdation-forest rest house/cabins and hotel at
bhubaneswar only
